Why We Built FERO
When GFE started installing solar systems, mounting structures available in the local market had no standardization. Design and fabrication were largely undocumented, done casually, without engineering validation behind them.
GFE's own work on SAP simulation, wind load testing, and ASTM compliance for its installations exposed that gap directly, and became the basis for building FERO: a mounting structure brand designed and manufactured to a documented, tested standard, not assembled on an ad hoc basis.
ManufacturingDesigned and Built In-House
FERO structures are designed, engineered, and fabricated by GFE's own team at its Lahore manufacturing facility. GFE does not import or resell mounting hardware — every structure in the FERO range is produced in-house from raw material to finished product.
Two material families across the range: SS400 iron, hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123 (or painted, on request), and Aluminium 6063 T5, anodized.
FERO is a separate manufacturing entity within the GFE group, not an internal-only supplier. It designs and fabricates for GFE's own EPC installations and equally for third-party EPCs and retail customers ordering mounting structures independently of any solar package.
Design capability
Inclination, wind rating, and foundation type are specified per project based on site soil conditions, roof type, and local wind-load requirements — standard process for every order.
In-house manufacturing
Laser CNC cutting, hydraulic press forming, precision bending, argon and multi-process welding, and dedicated aluminium and iron punch lines at the Lahore facility.
In-house electrical DBs
GFE also manufactures electrical distribution boards used in SCADA and energy-monitoring installations — structures and automation from one operation.

Does FERO manufacture in Pakistan or import structures?
Every FERO structure is fabricated at GFE's own facility in Lahore — none are imported.
What materials does FERO use?
SS400 hot-dip galvanized iron for ground-mount, shell roof, elevated shed, and parking shed structures; anodized Aluminium 6063 T5 for railing systems and flat-roof mounts.
Can FERO manufacture custom structures outside the standard product range?
Yes. Inclination, foundation type, and wind rating are engineered per site as standard practice, and the same facility also manufactures electrical distribution boards for automation and SCADA installations.
