One central column supports arms on both sides, covering two rows of bays with one line of columns.

With one line of columns for two rows of bays, the double side arm uses fewer columns and fewer footings per vehicle. Height clearance for the vehicles you park sets the column height, and the fall of the array is designed so rainwater drains away from vehicles.
