Data Acquisition & Monitoring

Industrial Data Acquisition & Monitoring

Turn raw industrial data (solar or otherwise) into something you can act on. GFE deploys NeoTAQ NeoLog and precision measurement hardware to capture, convert, and make sense of data across any source, not just solar plants.

What it is

More data than anyone actually looks at

Most industrial facilities generate far more data than anyone reads: meters, sensors, and equipment producing readings that sit unused because nothing is capturing, converting, or interpreting them.

GFE's data acquisition layer, built on NeoTAQ NeoLog, captures and interprets industrial data from any source: production equipment, environmental sensors, energy meters, process instrumentation. Where hardware speaks different protocols, it converts between them so disparate equipment can be read from one system.

This is not a solar-only tool. Solar plants are one application of NeoLog, not its limit.

How it works

One acquisition layer, three functions

Core acquisition platform

NeoTAQ NeoLog (GFE is sole distributor) is the data acquisition and logging layer. It captures readings from connected equipment and sensors regardless of source or industry, then feeds them into NeoSphere for analysis. This is the same NeoSphere platform behind GFE's hybrid-controller deployments. See the solar diesel controller page for those dispatch results.

Protocol conversion & electrical measurement

PUSR (distributor) supplies industrial 4G and Wi-Fi gateways and serial-to-Ethernet modules that carry remote data and convert between major industrial protocols. Acrel (distributor) adds energy meters and power quality analysers for electrical measurement across multiple points.

Meteorological & solar-resource measurement

Seven Sensor (reseller) industrial IoT data loggers, Kipp & Zonen (reseller) precision irradiance sensors and pyranometers, and EKO Instruments (reseller) solar and meteorological equipment feed NeoLog as measurement inputs, alongside any other connected data source.

What the layer covers

Capability statements only: no data-volume, accuracy, or deployment-count figures are claimed, because none are confirmed.

  • NeoLog is built for any industrial data source (production equipment, environmental sensors, process instrumentation), not only solar plants.
  • One sensor range spans PV-specific measurement (irradiance, module temperature) and non-PV industrial monitoring (process and environmental sensors).
  • Protocol conversion covers major industrial standards, so equipment on different protocols can be read from a single system.
  • Readings consolidate into NeoSphere, GFE's analysis layer, so disparate hardware is read and interpreted in one place.

Where it fits

Any site with data worth capturing, whether or not solar is involved. For grid-export limits specifically, see zero export control.

  • Solar plants needing irradiance & performance data
  • Industrial facilities capturing equipment or process data
  • Sites with sensors or meters on incompatible protocols
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this only for solar plants?

No. NeoLog captures data from any industrial source: production equipment, environmental sensors, process instrumentation. Solar is one application, not the only one.

What if my existing sensors and meters use different communication protocols?

PUSR gateways and serial-to-Ethernet modules handle protocol conversion across major industrial standards, so equipment on different protocols can be read from one system.

Do I need Kipp & Zonen or EKO Instruments specifically, or does GFE decide?

GFE recommends the right measurement hardware during the site assessment, based on what is being measured and the accuracy required.

Does GFE provide this nationwide?

Yes. GFE is the sole distributor for NeoTAQ, a distributor for PUSR and Acrel, and deploys data acquisition and monitoring across Pakistan.
